Well-being is the basis for coping and everyday life
It's important to take care of yourself – both your mind and your body. Well-being affects how well you can study, work and face everyday challenges. Sometimes things are going well, but then anxiety, tiredness or loneliness can take over. You don't have to face it alone. You can come to Ohjaamo just the way you are. Let's think together how to tackle the situation.
Where can I get support if I am not feeling well?
Feeling unwell can manifest in many ways: you are feeling down, you can't sleep or nothing seems interesting. Sometimes money, pressure from studies or job search can be a burden. Relationship issues, such as a breakup or conflicts with family and friends, can also feel overwhelming. At Ohjaamo, we listen to you without judgement and help you find the right support for your situation.
Sometimes just one talk can make you feel better, sometimes longer support or guidance is needed, for example in healthcare and social welfare services. Ohjaamo network includes professionals who can support you both in the short and long term. For example, outreach youth work can provide longer-term support for moving forward in life. The Onni services can help if you find yourself struggling with your own thoughts or need tips for well-being or managing your daily life. For more information, visit the Nuorten Onni section of our website.
Where can I get help right away?
If things are really tough and you feel like you need help right away – even in the middle of the night – don't face it alone. There are many free and confidential services available. MIELI Crisis Helpline has a 24-hour chat for mental health and crises, and in the Sekasin chat (finnish/swedish), young people can talk to a professional anonymously about anything. The MLL Child Child and Youth Helpline (finnish/swedish), also provides free discussion support for anxiety, among other things.
Boys and young men can contact the Boys' Phone (finnish/swedish), to talk about things that weigh on their mind. If you do not know where to start, start at the One-Stop Guidance Center. All you have to do is share your concerns. We will help you find the right help and move forward alongside you.
