What can I study and how can I apply?
Most higher education degree programmes are part of the joint application process, which takes place in the spring and autumn. If you were not selected or did not apply in time, supplementary application rounds may still have vacant study places. Applications are made on Studyinfo, where you can learn more about different degree programmes and fill out the application online. Applications for vocational education and training (VET) and general upper secondary education are also usually submitted through the joint application process.
If you are not sure what to study, talking with a study and careers adviser can help clarify the options. Many Ohjaamos have their own study and careers advisers, while others work closely with educational institutions. We can help you fill out applications, check the attachments and compare different degree programmes. You can also get support for changing careers, further studies or updating study plans.

Support for studies, finances and everyday life
Studying often involves questions about money and income. Kela's student financial aid helps students, and you may also be entitled to housing supplement, for example. In addition, students can often apply for affordable student housing. At Ohjaamo, we will tell you which benefits you can receive and how to apply for them. We will explain things clearly and, if necessary, help you fill out the forms.
